Mahatma Gandhi once wisely said that 'it is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.' I know some would scoff at the idea of giving up everything and going to India in search of health and happiness. However, I did exactly that three years ago. In the midst of a middle-aged health crisis, I decided to find alternatives to the plethora of painkillers I was taking. Massage, meditation and natural remedies became the lynchpins of reawakening my spirit and health. I am now fitter than I was in my teens. The key to recovery was accepting that I had to put well-being ahead of earning more money. After that, I tried various natural health care alternatives until I found solutions that suited my needs. I hope the suggestions within my blog help others who have reached a crossroads with their fitness. All the best.
